Greenhouse Heaters, All You Need to Know
The change in temperature several times a day. And during the night, can get off to a low level that can not exist, healthy plants. Thus, a temperature at the appropriate level of successful growth of plants, the greenhouse heaters are required. In choosing the right greenhouse heater, you must take into account not only the ability to have a good temperature in the cold, the nights in winter, but also the cost of installation and operation.
Types of Greenhouse Heaters
-Electric Heater.
This heater is more suitable for smaller greenhouse. Electrical heaters can efficiently maintain a specified temperature level. These are not entirely the production of combustion gases, and no longer the need for ventilation, heating, if they are in use.
-Gas Heaters:
Since this is the fuel for heating is natural gas or bottled, they can be less effective than the electric heating devices. Their waste because of combustion in a greenhouse and ventilation is needed if they are in use. These heaters should be in a safe place and the need to control and compensation.
-Paraffin Heaters.
The heater is the most basic among the three other types. Paraffin heater must constantly refilled, and wick-trimming. You will also need fuel to run, the gases are once again discharged in the greenhouse and must be ventilated. However, paraffin heaters reduce the risk of frost damage and act as emergency standby.
Heating system
- Hanging. These heaters are on the roof, directly or exposed to an end. And cheap to use, because less space is consumed. They should be hanged rather high enough as to not be an obstruction.
- Wall. These heaters are directly on the wall and the air outside the greenhouse. No floor space is insufficient, but the field before them must be clear.
- Floor. This type is not mounted as they have their own stand and can be placed anywhere on the floor of the greenhouse. This is the disadvantage of this kind, because it takes a lot of space.
Heater Combustion
- Open. Uses hot air inside the greenhouse for combustion. As long as the air there will be no contaminants in it, this will work just fine. Flammable liquids can not be near the combustion air, because the unit is not closed.
- Separated. A gas with such a fire, which uses outside air for combustion in the greenhouse. The burner is sealed, all without the case outside the greenhouse effect. Decorrere from the exhaust pipe outside the structure.
- Sealed. This is much more similar to the separated combustion type. The burner is completely sealed inside and there is no access to air inside the place. sealed combustion heaters use direct event for the exhaust and intakel.
Heater Vent
- Unvented: its heating, combustion of gas may be directly released to the heated area.Used for temporary because of the sensitivity of some plants.
- Gravity. The exhausted air from this type of heater should be running through the pipe, and outside, so the vents should be vertical. The air expelled must be replaced by air from outside.
- Power. These power vented heaters have a blower that pushes the air in the pipe inside and outside the structure. The vents can be arranged vertically or horizontally, and the vent pipes are smaller making it more efficient..
- Direct. This kind of venting is very special to sealed combustion types. It only has one vent pipe with both the inlet and the exhaust; one pipe is inside the other. The amount, of air that leaves the pipe is the same amount that is pulled through the intake.
another to consider a greenhouse heater is the output range or products or a measure of heat output. You can shop in your nearest greenhouse store to check out you needed output range (based on the area of your greenhouse and other factors as well).
And certainly there is a number of greenhouse heaters. You can decide what you want to buy, it’s best to first begin an assessment of your current structure of the greenhouse and its needs. You can also use the opinions of experts in the field of construction of greenhouses and maintain the best results.
